Madera Unified District PTA is a Facebook group created by an employee of Madera County Mental Health Department, Lynn Cogdill.
Cogdill is a candidate for the Madera Unified School District Board of Trustees District 2 as he returned his paperwork to the Madera County Clerks Office Friday afternoon. Realtor Edward McIntyre is also a declared candidate for the seat currently held by Phillip Jansen. McIntyre is the husband of former Madera County Supervisor Gail Hanhart-McIntyre.

EDITORIAL - Love him or hate him, no one can say Randy Blankenship has not made a difference with the Madera High School football program. When Randy came to Madera I supported our former head football coach Mike Anderson.
A group of people lead by the late Mike Young, former chief academic officer for Madera Unified brought Randy to Madera to force out Coach Anderson. Young and others sabotaged Anderson's program and turned student-athletes against the former coach.

EDITORIA: - There are 1352 guitar pickers in Nashville. That was the figure touted by John Sebastian of the Lovin’ Spoonful back in 1966. Many men and women have tried to make it in the music business in music cities in the USA. Some have made it to global success, like Taylor Swift, and many others have had to find something else to do. Some have managed to make a living from music.
Scott Lindsey is one of those 1352 guitar pickers. He recently co-wrote a song with mega movie star Kevin Costner, and that’s pretty good for anyone in Nashville at any level of the industry.
EDITORIAL - Life is filled with risks. Perhaps you enjoy skydiving, climbing Mount Everest, or swimming with sharks? Each endeavor involves serious risks. Nothing would be accomplished on this planet without people willing to venture out into the unknown.
