ANAHEIM - Long considered a beacon of happiness around the world, Walt Disney's original Disneyland Park reopened to the public, along with Disney California Adventure Park, on Friday, April 30, 2021. Just prior to the gates of Disneyland opening for the first time in more than a year, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company Bob Chapek participated in the daily ceremony to raise the American flag and shared brief remarks of inspiration for the cast members who were preparing for the momentous day.
Madera Fair 2026: Where Entertainment Takes Center Stage
MADERA - When the gates open for the 2026 Madera District Fair, visitors will find much more than carnival rides, livestock exhibits and the familiar smell of fair food drifting through the air. From September 10 through 13, the fairgrounds will become a lively gathering place filled with music, magic, comedy, family entertainment and spectacular nighttime experiences.
This year’s celebration, presented by Valley Children’s Healthcare, carries the theme “All American Party!” as Madera joins communities across the country in recognizing America’s 250th anniversary. The theme gives the 2026 fair a patriotic flavor, but the entertainment remains rooted in what has always made the Madera Fair special: bringing families, friends, performers and local communities together for a few days of shared fun.

Advanced Tickets and Big Savings at the Madera Fair
MADERA - The Madera District Fair presented by Valley Children's Healthcare will open its gates in less than a month for its 2026 season, but it's never too early to start your planning and save some money. If you already know you're going, why not pre-buy your tickets early and save $5 on every ticket?
Pre-Sale Discount gate tickets are $10 for adults (13+), general admission tickets are available online beginning July 1. Pre-sale deals are available online through September 10 and at the Madera Fair office starting July 15. Gate ticket prices during the fair will be $15 per adult. Kids 12 and under are free this year, EVERY day of the 2026 Fair! However, after 7:00 pm each night, all guests under 18 must be chaperoned by an adult while at the Fair.

Madera Fair’s Fourth Annual Beard & Mustache Whiskerino Contest
MADERA - This year, the fourth annual Whiskerino Contest will be held at the Madera District Fair, presented by Valley Children's Healthcare. This family-friendly event this year will be sponsored by Big Valley News and Radio and, for the first time, feature cash awards. The competition will kick off Thursday night, September 10th, on the fair’s Estrella Jalisco stage. Signups start at 5:45 p.m., and the competition begins at 6:15 p.m.
This event has no entry fee, and ribbons and prizes will be awarded to 1st-3rd in each class, with an overall ‘Best of Show ' for the event! The ‘Best of Show’ winner will be the BVN’s VIP guest at the C;ay Walker concert Saturday night with tickets to thr fair, VIP seats at the show and dinner beforehand at Perkos Cafe & Grill across the street.
Madera Fair Kicks Off Thursday with the Salute to Education and Free Gate Admissio
MADERA -The Business and Education Committee of the Madera Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that it will host their annual Salute to Education Reception and Awards Ceremony at the Madera District Fair on opening night, September 4, 2025. Admission to the fair on Thursday night is free for all ages, courtesy of Valley Children's Healthcare.
Over thirty-five educators from Madera schools will receive the Distinguished Teacher of the Year award for their outstanding efforts during the 2024-25 school year.
