Betty Boyd (80) of Madera, CA passed away on December 23, 2013 at home. Betty was born on July 28 1933 in Oklahoma to the late Presley and Violet Wiggins. She was under Hospice care at home at the time of her passing. Betty most recently worked at the Madera County Library which she enjoyed very much. She also was a waitress and worked at Madera Glass. Betty loved to knit and made her family beautiful blankets.
Betty was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters as well as 2 sons, Darryl and David Newman. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Sharon Rayner and Wilma Nerome, brother, Dewayne Wiggins, 2 daughters, Patsy Taylor and Georgia Boyd and 4 sons, Frank Carr, Kevin Newman, Randy Newman and Raymond Boyd. She was the grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 5.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
