Jerry Lee Butler, age 75, a native and lifelong resident of Madera, CA passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his Madera home with his family by his side. Jerry worked for the M.U.S.D. as transportation manager for 25 years and for J.W. Meyers as a truck driver. He was a graduate of Madera Union High School in 1954 and he joined the Army National Guard in 1954 where he served 9 years. Jerry married Patricia in 1958. He was a member of the Madera Elks Lodge for over 40 years and was involved with the Madera Police Auxiliary for 16 years.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Butler of Madera, CA. 2 sons: Mike Butler and his wife Bobette & Steve Butler and his wife Jesslynn all of Madera, CA. 2 daughters: Kathy Forga and her husband Jody of Madera, CA & Linda Reisacher and her husband Gerhard of Napa, CA. His grandchildren: Andrew Butler, Kenneth Munoz, Christopher Munoz, Alexis Butler and Ilissa Butler all of Madera, CA & Julia Reisacher of Napa, CA and 1 great-grandson, Bryce Butler of Madera, CA. He is also survived by his sister-in-law: Janet Allen and her husband Richard of Madera, CA.
A memorial service will be on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA. Private inurnment was held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
