Channel 30 Employee Arrested on Child Porn Charges

CLOVIS - On March 7th, 2013  Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force served a proactive search warrant in the City of Clovis at the home of a KFSN Channel 30 employee relating to the possession and distribution of child pornography.

Investigators from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, ICE Agents from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and investigators from the Clovis Police Department assisted with the investigation.

Jeff Jordan (56), the Director of Broadcast Compliance at KFSN Channel 30, was contacted at his place of employment and ultimately arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail.  Numerous computers and other media storage devices were recovered from Jordan’s residence during the service of the search warrant.

This investigation is part of a continuing effort by the Central California ICAC Task Force to actively locate, identify and arrest those who use the internet to sexual exploit children.

Central California ICAC is a partially funded through a federal grant and the task force is comprised of 58 law enforcement agencies spread across Kern, Tulare, Kings, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Mariposa, Inyo and San Luis Obispo Counties.

This is the second employee of KFSN to be arrested on charges involving children. In 2005 news anchor Nick Ryan (Nicholas Fanady) was sentenced to 75 years in prison for child molestation.
