Howard Stern Takes Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD  -   Howard Stern commemorated the official grand opening of SiriusXM Hollywood Studios this week, welcoming some of the biggest superstars in entertainment for news-making interviews, comedy, and live performances.

Howard Stern's first West Coast broadcast in almost 20 years kicked off with a star-studded first show including guests Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey, Jr., Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Levine, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Widely-praised as the best interviewer in the business, Stern's conversation with Aniston revealed whether a Friends reunion is in the works, and his talk with Downey, Jr. touched on his Iron Man legacy and Martin Scorsese's criticism of Marvel movies. Maroon 5's Adam Levine and James Valentine also performed their new song "Memories," a tribute to the band's manager who recently passed away. 


Amtrak Expands Share Fares Deal Offering Discount on Additional Routes

WASHINGTON DC -  Amtrak announced additional availability as part of its Share Fares deal, offering up to 45% off Amtrak travel. Inspiring customers to explore with friends and families by their side, Amtrak is offering more discounts as part of its Share Fares deal, now available on the Downeaster, Ethan Allen Express, Adirondack, Illinois Service, Wolverine Service, Blue Water, Pere Marquette, Missouri River Runner, Carolinian, Empire Service, Maple Leaf, Piedmont, Heartland Flyer, Cascades and San Joaquins.

The Share Fares discount requires a reservation two days in advance. The more the merrier on Amtrak with customers saving up to 45% when purchasing tickets for six passengers.

Big Fresno Fair, Fresno State Team Up for 5th Annual “Feed the Need” Food Drive

Support students - donate 10 food cans on Sept. 25 and receive 1 free Fair admission ticket

FRESNO - The Big Fresno Fair and Fresno State announce the fifth annual “Feed the Need” Food Drive at Fresno State from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 25 to benefit the Student Cupboard. Community members who bring 10 or more canned food items to the Fresno State Red Lot (southwest corner of Barstow and Cedar avenues) on this date will receive one free Big Fresno Fair admission ticket good for any day of the 2019 Fair. Limit of 4 Fair admission tickets per car while supplies last – no expired food please. Those who are unable to make the food drive can still support Fresno State students by donating funds online.

Food drive donors will be greeted by Fresno State First Lady Mary Castro, and Fresno State coaches and players who will be giving away 2019 season football game tickets throughout the day to lucky winners chosen at random. Maya Cinemas will give away popcorn coupons while supplies last, along with other supporters helping raise food, funds and awareness for the Student Cupboard. New Rock 104.1, 940 ESPN, 95.7 The Fox and 99.3 Now FM will broadcast live throughout the day to entertain donors who can drive through and donate their cans without even getting out of their vehicles.

Bud Light Produces Special Edition Alien-Themed Cans

MILKY WAY GALAXY - Today, Bud Light announced it is producing an alien-themed Bud Light Can to share with any alien that leaves the sanctuary of Area 51 on September 20th.In July, Bud Light had pledgedfree beer for all aliens who escaped and promised to create a limited-edition alien pack if thistweet received 51K retweets.

While the tweet fell just short of 51K RTs, Bud Light aims to please and the consumer response was so great, they decided to make it anyway. The favorite light lager of American Earthlings has followed through and created the Bud Light alien cans for legal drinking aged humans and extraterrestrials to enjoy together.

Tecate Celebrates Mexican-Americans Through Music This Mexican Independence Day

LOS ANGELES  - Born 75 years ago on the western borderland of Tecate, Baja, Mexico, Tecate embodies the unapologetic energy of Mexican-Americans in the USA. This Mexican Independence Day, Tecate has teamed up with Mexican-American musicians to help them share their own journeys through music.

Mexican-American artists, The Delirians, É Arenas, Katzù Oso, and Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas, will create an original compilation dubbed "Los Angeles Lindo Y Querido," that is a reflection of their bicultural identity inspired by one of the most popular anthems of love and loyalty to Mexico, "Mexico Lindo Y Querido." The three individual tracks will also be merged into a mashup track that highlights the individual experiences of each artist growing up in Southern California while paying tribute to their Mexican roots. Produced by Mexican music producer Ulises Lozano, the compilation honors the Mexican-American community's cultural influence on Los Angeles.
